You Have Bed Bugs?
Bed Bug Life Cycle
The bed bug life cycle in general is as follows:
Bed bug starts out as an egg. It has about 5 new bedbug siblings being laid every day. It lasts between 6 and 17 days till it turns into a nymph.
The nymph stage consists of 5 molts. The bed bug molts after eating enough blood grow larger, hence… advancing to the next larger size. The full nymph stage can last between 21 and up to 120 days until the nymph becomes an adult.
When a bed bug turns into an adult, the females can lay around 5 eggs each day, and adults usually live between 12 and 18 months.
As you have seen, bed bugs need to continually eat in order to grow and in order to survive. Their favorite food is…. HUMAN BLOOD, and they eat mainly at night, when their unsuspecting human host is trying to sleep.
