Bed Bug Killing Spray

You Have Bed Bugs?

If you think you may have bed bugs…. FIRST and foremost…. do not feel ashamed or dirty or embarrassed in any way, because these sneaky little blood suckers do not differentiate between rich or poor, clean or dirty, young or old!  They are more prevalent in some areas of the country, but all have one thing in common….. they want to eat, and eat, and eat!

If you do have bed bugs, the most important thing you want to do is to get rid of them FAST!

Below I will talk a little bit about these pesky bed bugs, and I will show you a few ways to get rid of them.

Bed Bug Life Cycle

Bed Bug Life Cycle

The bed bug life cycle in general is as follows:

Bed bug starts out as an egg.  It has about 5 new bedbug siblings being laid every day.  It lasts between 6 and 17 days till it turns into a nymph.

The nymph stage consists of 5 molts.  The bed bug molts after eating enough blood grow larger, hence… advancing to the next larger size.  The full nymph stage can last between 21 and up to 120 days until the nymph becomes an adult.

When a bed bug turns into an adult, the females can lay around 5 eggs each day, and adults usually live between 12 and 18 months.

As you have seen, bed bugs need to continually eat in order to grow and in order to survive.  Their favorite food is…. HUMAN BLOOD, and they eat mainly at night, when their unsuspecting human host is trying to sleep.

Once a bed bug problem is discovered, removing the infested bedding and just not sleeping on it for a time period WILL NOT kill the bed bug!  Bed bugs can go for several months without eating when food is not available, and then as soon as food is available again… they get right back into biting and sucking your blood!

That is not only a yucky thought, but a painful one!

So…. when a bed bug infestation is discovered, the bed bugs must be killed.
