There is an option for standard brown rice, or you can activate the "GABA" function that cooks brown rice to a greater texture and taste; but above all you can create the healthiest of brown rice dishes provided by electric cookers. However, there are few things to share.
When selecting the standard setting, this cooler generally takes around 1 and a half to 2 hours to finish the process (which is typical for rice cookers). However, when choosing the "GABA" setting, the cooker will soak the rice for 2 hours before it actually starts to cook the rice. So, you will need to wait a further two hours before eating. Fortunately, there’s a preset timer to help manage this.Even though this rice cooker has received excellent reviews, and might just be the best rice cooker for brown rice, it comes at a price. This appliance is the most expensive rice cooker in this top 5 list.

It should also be noted that this is the most reviewed rice cooker on Amazon with over 400 reviews, and still maintaining a high score of 4.5 out of 5 stars. That’s an impressive feat with so many reviews.
Even though this is not the absolute greatest rice cooker for brown rice, it does a good job all the same, and can have your rice ready in an hour and a half. The keep it warm mode holds rice ar a steady temperature until you’re ready to eat, and moisture is maintained with the sealed lid that prevents boil over during cooking.
As with the NP-HTC18 model reviewed above, this rice cooker utilizes "Fuzzy Logic" technology for monitoring rice as it cooks and adjusts cooking times and temperatures accordingly. However, it doesn’t feature the "GABA" option for cooking brown rice like the NP-HTC18 does.

This model has a specific function for brown rice cooking, and specific instructions for measuring… but you will have to wait almost two hours (this is a common time for rice cookers that cook brown rice effectively). However, once ready the quality of the cooked brown rice is good, with a nice nutty flavor and fluffy texture. Certainly an improvement compared to lesser rapid boil cookers.
