I always get excited when I hear of anything ‘Texas’: people, places, things… pretty much all nouns. When I found out about this new clothing line, I got super excited for two reasons. 1) It’s a Texas-based fashion line, and 2) one of the designers just so happens to be a close friend of my family. Really, it’s already winning in my book.

Sway, a newly launched fashion line, brings all things country, comfortable, and classy into its pieces. When you hear the
words ‘comfortable’ and ‘country’ in the same sentence you tend to think what the woman on the right is wearing, which is all fine and dandy if you’re as old as she is, or headed to a rodeo in the backwoods of East Texas. However, I am not that old (surprise, surprise) and their target audience is not, therefore, their clothes need a young, ‘fashionista’ feel. And by golly they’ve got that.

What I really love about their dresses and shirts is that I can see myself going shopping in them all day and then meeting BF for drinks out on the patio at a great restaurant afterwards. I can also see myself sporting one of their red off-the-shoulder dresses at one of my alma mater’s famous ‘boulevard’ parties before a football game. They are very versatile pieces, but you still feel really girly wearing them. My kind of style, if you ask me.
