I love limos and even though I’m  neither rich or famous, it’s something that is an extra special treat to be able to take a spin in one.

 

I had a friend once that would drive them.  I asked him the profound question that’s on everyones mind, “what’s it like to drive one?”.  His response was quick and to the point, just like driving any other car. 

 

I thought about his response for awhile, and what he said I suposed to be quit true.  A car, is a car, is a car.  After all, when you’re driving forward, you’re not looking at what’s behind you, unless of course you’re speeding.

 

You have to actually be inside of the vehicle in order to appreaciate what it has.  I will point out some factors that I consider to be a make or break deal with limos.  Your list may vary, and that’s okay, for the simple reason that we all have things that are important to us, and other things are not.

 

But one thing most of us have in common, is that we loved to be pampered, and we love to be treated well.  So, lets begin by taking a look at limo.

For me, the most important things where a limo service are consider are the driver being courteous and punctual!

 

You see, it doesn’t matter to me if the car has a flat, and is late, it matters that it’s late!  Especially if I’m going to a special event, and I needed to be there at a given time.  Why?  Because the limo company is a reflection of me, even if it’s not my fault that I’m late.  Therefor, if the company can’t be on time, I don’t want to deal with them.

 

The same is true if the driver has manners, is courtesy and invisible.  You see, if I’m doing a business deal of some sort, and the driver is a reckless driver, it again reflects on me.  Those that one choses to do business with, will depend on how they’re treated. 

 

I don’t care if theres saddness in their eyes, I care if they are kind, courtesy and considerate.  I care that they are invisible, get me to where I want to go, when they said they would, and that they’re punctual. 

 

What do I mean by invisible?  I shouldn’t know that they are their.  The door should be opened, without me having to do it, or ask for it to be done.  The bar should be completely stalked without me having to ask for it to be done, with drinks of all kinds, and snacks.  If I take a can of soda out, while I’m in at my event, he (sorry, most limo drivers are male,  not female) should have it replaced by the time I come back.  He needs to be invisible, and he needs to make sure all things are done before I ask for them.

 

 

 

 

While the limo driver should be punctual and refill things, you also play a part in things.  You see, if you don’t tell them you want a limo with a T.V., you may not get one.

 

If you want one with M & M’s and not chips, you’re probably not going to get one.

 

And if you want champaign’s, and not hard, well, you’re most assuredly NOT going to get that.  Why?  Because they don’t read minds.  Every client is different, and every clients needs are different, consequently, you need to tell them what your needs are up front.  Consequently, if you don’t tell, they can’t make it happen.

 

Depending on the depths of the company, will depend on their limitations.  One of the best in the business is Grand Entrance Limos, located in Denton TX.  They’ve been around the block more than a time or two, and they’re experts in getting your needs meet!  They are experts and class acts.

 

 

 

 

 

There’s so much truth to the adage:  Money speaks louder than words.  If you have enough money, then the limo service will be able to have or do pretty much whatever you want.

 

From the color of the vehicle, to the length of time that you have, it’s all doable if you have the money.  Imagine if you would, the attention  you’d get if you drove up in a pink limo…lots!  Thats because you’ll be making a grand entrance, with a grand vehicle. 

 

If the limo service has been around for any length of time, they’re going to have deep connections and be able to handle whatever desires you want.  But again, you have to make sure that you make them abundantly clear.  You can’t expect the company or the driver to know what you want if you don’t ask.  Experienced or no experienced, you have to make sure you share with them your needs.  And yes, this is different that what I was talking about before. 

 

Also, if they’ve been around for awhile, their experience will dictate much of what you want and expect, because they know you want it before you ask.  But every client is different, so don’t assume they know, tell them what you need.
