HOW TO BE SPIRITUAL

We are living in a time when
many are trying to convince us
that we are only material. There
is no God and no spiritual world.
Of course, in truth that would
make us only a machine of sorts.
But machines do not have; feeling,
emotions, desires etc. Yet we do.

It is no wonder that there is greater
interest than ever in such things as;
religion, after life, spiritualism, spirit
guides, mediums, seances, meditation
and much more. Intuitively we know
we are more than material, electrical
impulses and the results ofan accident.
The human race is reaching out for
reality. We want to know about the
spiritual side of man.

But how?

THINGS TO TRY TO BE SPIRITUAL

SIT ON A POST

Sit on a post until
your gluteal muscles
(buttocks) go numb,
callus or petrify.

Will that make a person
more spiritual? Of
course not. But you
will have done
something that is unique.
And you will have a
rearranged rear end. PLUS,
people will know you are not
too smart.

If you choose this method of obtaining spirituality may
I suggest that you use one of the large wooden posts!
Not the small metal post. There will less injury.

STAND ON YOUR HEAD

Stand on your head until the blood all goes to your head
and you faint. You will not be anymore spiritual. But I
can guarantee that you will have an experience of some
kind.

EMPTY YOU HEAD

Empty your head of all your thoughts and every thing
that you knew. Open your mind to what ever comes
floating along. In time you will receive a spirit or spirits
– that you do not want anything to do with. You will
be worse of than before. But at least you will have
done something, and are then under the control of a
spirit that is driving you the wrong way.

COMMUNE WITH NATURE

Yes. You can learn from nature. I love being out in it.
In fact God’s word says:
“Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities,
both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been
clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God
has made. So those people have no excuse at all!”
(Romans 1:20 TEV)

However. If you are like most people, you will not listen
close enough or see well enough to get acquainted with
God through nature. It is a lot quicker and more effective
to go direct to the creator of nature, God himself.

There are a thousand things you could “try” to be more
spiritual – none of which work. But let’s move on to
what does work.

WHAT WORKS

THE CREATOR HIMSELF SAID:

“‘I am telling you the truth,’ replied
Jesus, ‘that no one can enter the Kingdom
of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
A person is born physically of human parents, but
is born spiritually of the Spirit. Do not be surprised
because I tell you that you must be born again. The
wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound
it makes, but you do not not know where it comes
from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone
who is born of the Spirit'”
(John 3:5-8 TEV)

“‘God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit
can people worship him as he
really is.'”
(John 4:24 TEV)

HOW TO BE BORN OF THE SPIRIT.

Recognize that Jesus Christ is the creator of the universe.
And, that Jesus Christ is God come down in human form to give himself as a
sacrifice for our sins [living our way instead of God’s way.] if we will accept the fact.

Then turn from the way we are going or living to Jesus Christ asking him to
forgive us for the way we have been living.

Totally submit yourself to Jesus Christ allowing him to become the one who
saves you and to be your Lord and master. Ask him to come into your life
and take control of it.

Get a “Holy Bible” in a language you can understand and use it as your
guide in life.
