This remarkable video shows a once in a lifetime moment for a lucky whale watcher—petting a wild baby grey.
Sofia Isaac recorded the touching moment that an inquisitive calf swam up to her boat to say ‘hello’.
A passenger reached out to pet the playful whale, and it appeared to like the attention.
The video was taken at a whale breeding ground in Ojo de Liebre, Baja, California, USA.
Sofia, from Guadalajara, Mexico, said, “The video shows a baby grey whale being curious. You are able to touch them, here.”

“The mother whale was behind the baby at all times protecting him,” she says.
“This is my meaning of happiness and enjoying the present.”
