Take Your Printer Wherever You Go…
Choosing a Portable Printer
Portable inkjet printers will usually print anything to A4 or legal-sized paper, while portable photo printers typically print photos of 4″ x 6″ or less.
Small sized paper usually means faster printing.
Many portable printers are Bluetooth compatible or carry wireless technology, making them connectable to devices such as PDAs or cell phones for ease of use. Many print from digital cameras, without the need for PCs.
Ensure you decide first on the functions you need. That fancy gizmo may not do what you need – then those extra features you got are wasted.Check the speed is fast enough. Waiting for one print is often acceptible. Waiting for ten may not be.
That new printer may have Bluetooth or IRDA, but does your laptop? Check the size and weight – not too much of a problem until you need to travel by train or plane.
