If you’re looking for a Dyson canister-type vacuum that is super lightweight AND awesome for pet hair, this Dyson DC35 is probably you’re best bet.
First off – it’s REALLY light weight – maybe about 10 pounds. It’s also cordless and comes with a wall-mountable docking station to charge it.
This thing is GREAT for pet hair and easy to maneuver.
To me, the best part is the removable long wand part so you can make it a mini like in the other picture.

This cordless canister vacuum is probably the most power-efficient and most powerFUL vacuum of it’s kind.
Comes with other tools as well such as a crevice tool and an upholstery tool.
The bin is hygienic and is also clear – so you can see when it needs to be emptied.
GREAT for pet hair!
This is a very versatile and high-quality canister vacuum!
Dyson DC25 Animal Ball – Best For Pet Hair!

This is probably THE best vacuum cleaner for pet hair!
If you have dogs or cats you will love this vacuum as much as other consumers have.
We have 2 cats and they a LOT of hair…drives me nuts.. so I HAVE to have a vacuum that is meant to be tough on pet hair.
It also has a washable HEPA filter so it’s great for getting dust and for homes with asthma sufferers.
Also has on-board tools and a telescope attachment wand which is great for reaching hard places.
What to know BEFORE you buy this vacuum cleaner:
This vacuum is heavier than most Dyson models. It weighs just under 23 pounds. BUT, it is awesome for homes with pets.
Also, the price is a bit steep for a vacuum cleaner, but it is long-lasting and comes with a 5-year warranty.

This vacuum has a charcoal filter as opposed to a HEPA filter. That might sound like a “con” to this vacuum, but it’s PERFECT for homes with pets.
The special charcoal filter in this vacuum cleaner helps remove pet odors that HEPA filters just don’t seem to do great with.
