WHAT IS AN ACCIDENT?

GOO OUT OF THE SLOP?

Many people think they are an accident.

No, not on the part of Ma and Pa,

but many millions and billions of years

ago something or other happened.

You know, some goo was cooking in

the slop until it became something

that crawled out of the slop into the

sunshine and baked on a rock.

I do not want to break your bubble.

But your arrival hear was not the result

of some “accident” in the past.

A BIG BANG?

There are other people who think that

a long, long time ago (More than fourty

years ago.) enough nothing came together

to create a tremendous explosion. And

from that explosion of nothing came

everything. They call it “The big bang”.

Wrong of course. The chances of that

are about the same as a printing plant

blowing up and a complete unabridged

dictionary being the result.

Is it any wonder that God said,

“Fools say to themselves, ‘There is no

God!'”

-Psalms 14:1 TEV

You were not the result of some accident

in the past. But you are the product of a

carefully thought out plan. God’s plan.

THIS IS AN ACCIDENT

Now this is an accident. It was unplanned

and unwanted. It resulted from materials

and forces that were already in existence.

It came about with no planning or purpose

on the part of those involved in it.

THE LAST RIDE

There is coming a time when we will all

take our last ride. It may come about as

an “accident” from our point of view. But

your life was given you for a purpose by

the creator. Your life was no accident.

When this life we are now living is over,

we will answer to the one who created us

and gave us our life. Are you ready for

that day?

Here are some facts given us by the creator

himself.

“Christ is the visible likeness of the invisible

God. He is the first-born Son, superior to all

created things. For through him God created

everything in heaven and on earth, the seen

and the unseen things, including spiritual

powers, lords, rulers, and authorities. God

created the whole universe through him,

and for him.

“Everyone must die once, and after that

be judged by God.”

-Hebrews 9:27 TEV

We were created. We are not an accident.

We were created for God himself. But

God knew we would choose to go our

own way instead of his way. So out of

love for us, he came down and died in

our place to pay for our sin or failure

– if we will accept it.

“For God loved the world so much that he

gave his only Son, so that everyone who

believes in him may not die but have

eternal life.”
