Easter

Easter is arguably the most important holiday to Christians.  The reasons are simple.  Consider first that it is really a week long holiday.  It begins with Palm Sunday, when the Israelite’s honored Christ as King, by laying down palm branches on his way into Jerusalem. 

It continues in a week full of celebration until Christ is crucified on the cross and then is risen from the dead on Easter Sunday.  The culmination of everything that was predicted.  It’s why the holiday is in existence.   I’m not going to get into all of the other views, that’s not the point of this Sirgo, but rather the celebration of Easter and potential gifts that are fun for the holiday. 

With that lets consider some gifts and see if one of them doesn’t tickle you where you need and want to get it.

Easter Gifts

Obviously the type of Easter gift you’re going to be getting will depend on the age of the recipient.  This can be actual age or maturity of age.  After all, we all know the teen that’s more like a 30 year old, and the 30 year old that’s more like the teen.  Which ever your is, consider that you can get them a craft.

While I’m spotlighting needlepoint, it can be any type of arts and crafts for most any age.  The reason for spotlighting needlepoint is simple: it can transcend most any age.  It can go from something really simple to complex.  And the character of object on the canvas can be most anything. 

Consider if you want, that you can have a family portrait done and give it to a grandparent for the day.  What a joy that would be for them to have their kids, grandkids and greatgrand children around all of the time.   And isn’t that the best gift of all?

The Edible Gift

Ok, so the picture isn’t a chocolate Easter egg, but it is chocolate.  But chocolate is a common item of purchase for Easter.  Consider the millions of pounds of chocolate that are consumed in the forms of Easter Bunny’s, eggs, baskets, roses and so on goes the list.  It’s because of this simple fact, that I have to have chocolate as a gift for Easter.

The smallest of children will eat miniature eggs.  The larges of kids (age 99) may eat the biggest of eggs.  But they all have one thing in common, they’re made of chocolate.  Oh it may not be milk chocolate.  It may be white chocolate or dark chocolate, but it is chocolate.  And next to diamonds, everyone knows that chocolate is a ladies best friend.
