2 Lazy Or 2 Much Of A Hurry?

Drive-Thru Or Walk-In? What It Really Says About You

It sure would seem that way. The next time you go to a fast-food restaurant, take a look at the drive-thru line. It boggles my mind when I see a line of vehicles, and the restaurant appears empty of walkin traffic, all things considered. Going inside a fast-food restaurant is almost a thing of the past. If you are not going inside to order your food, then eat it on the premises, then more than likely, you will go through the drive-thru. That’s the way it seems to me. I do just the opposite. It would have to look really crowded inside for me to go through the drive-thru. I love the service that you receive when you go inside. You can almost see the servers preparing your food. You can’t do that from the drive-thru line. And how many times have you gone through the drive-thru, gotten your order, gotten home, and realized that something that you ordered is missing? Oh yes, you’ve gotten smarter when it comes to that. You will actually sit there and go through your bag, just to make sure that they got everything right ( if everybody is doing that, no wonder the line is so long ). To me, that just adds to the time that you are actually in that line. From inside, I can see them put everything that I ordered into the bag, and I can get in-and-out quickly. And with everyone, pretty much, in the drive-thru line, I’ve found that the line inside is nonexistent, or minimal, to say the least. I think some folks have just gotten that much lazier. Why not sit in your vehicle, yell out the window with your order, drive around to the window, pay for it, and pick it up, and you never broke a sweat? It’s just too easy to do. We don’t get enough exercise as it is. Why not get out, go inside, order right away ( cause no one is inside, they are all in the drive-thru line ), see your food prepared, placed inside your bag, then off you go, while the cars that would have been in front of you in the drive-thru are still in line? But, that would require something called ‘walking’. I don’t think so. Is it that we’ve gotten that lazy, or what? I know I haven’t. Have you? But that’s just my thoughts. What’s yours?
