New Cute Cuddly Monkey

Is this monkey worth all the hype it is receiving lately? My daughter sure thinks so!

A few months ago my daughter saw an advertisement for this new FurReal Friends monkey named Cuddles. She kept going on and on about how cute it looked and she said that she just had to have it. So not long after, I found it for sale and picked one up for her.

Below I will be sharing with you some of the things that make this monkey just as cute as it is advertised to be. What Attracted My Daughter To This Monkey

My daughter in general, has always been a fan of FurReal friends. She has quite a few of them and after she saw this one, of course, she wanted to add it to her arsenal of toys. lol.

She is 6 years old and is still very much into imaginary play, which involves a lot of animals, and a lot of babies. So I knew right away that this cuddly monkey would fit in perfectly since it is a baby monkey that wears a diaper.

After receiving the monkey, I noticed right away that this toy would be one that she would be playing with for a long time to come.

My daughter loves the cute sounds that the monkey makes and how nicely it interacts with you when you touch the various sensory points on its body.

Her favorite thing to do with it is to cuddle it and put it to sleep. She thinks this is just so cute and I see her doing it quite often. Another thing she likes to do with it is to swing it by its arms and to make it flip upside down, so in our house, if the monkey isn’t sleeping, it is busy swinging around and around.

She was very excited to show it to her friends, and everytime they have come over to visit since she got it, they always end up playing with this toy, so I think they all enjoy it quite a bit.

What I Like About This Toy

As a parent (and the person who bought this toy) what I like about it is a tad bit different than the features that my daughter is interested in. I’m more interested in value and durability than anything.

This monkey runs on 4 C batteries. These batteries can be inserted and removed quite easily. The monkey has an auto shut off feature which will put it in “sleep” mode after so many minutes of non use. This helps to keep the batteries from running dead quickly.

The voicing on this thing is quite good as well. I never hear it garble words or shut off in any way prematurely.

The most important thing that I like about this monkey is that it is made quite well. As I said before, one of my daughter’s favorite things to do with this toy is to swing it around by its arms. When I first saw her doing it, I took a good look at the monkey’s seams to make sure that they were not tearing at all from all of the tugging and swinging and not only were the seams quite strong, but they seem like they will last a long time.

The general feeling of this toy is very nice. It is really soft and the monkey itself is just the right size to be cuddled like a baby in my daughters arms.

Seems To Be A Big Hit On Amazon

I’m not sure where all you can buy this monkey. Most likely you can find it from Walmart.com, and some other popular stores. I personally bought mine from Amazon.com because that is where I normally shop. On there, when I bought it, the price had dropped significantly. It was about $20 off the list price, so I was pretty happy about that!

To Sum It All Up…

Overall, I am very pleased with this FurReal Friends Giggly Monkey and my daughter enjoys it very much. It has been in our home for a few months now and continues to be one of the toys that my daughter’s friends choose to play with when they come over to visit.

As a parent, I rate this toy a 4.5 out of 5 stars. 🙂
