driver.  I can go 35 m.p.h safely

in a 15 m.p.h. zone.

 

Your honor.  I do not think 15 m.p.h.

is high enough speed in that zone.

 

Every one else goes 40 m.p.h in

that area your honor.

 

I have made up my own speed

limit for that zone your honor.

 

Do you think these “excuses” will work in a court of law?

You and I did not make the laws.  We can either obey

them or disobey them.  Our “opinion” does not count.  

It is what the law says that counts.

 

So, what makes you think we can make up our own set of

rules or laws about how we live – or where we go after

death?

 

The one who created you and gives you life said, “Everyone

must dies once, and after that be judged by God.”

 (Heb. 9:27 TEV)

 

There is going to be a day in God’s court for every one

of us.  This may come as a shock to you –  but God is

not bound to honor your opinions or laws.

In fact, God said, “…everyone has sinned and is far away
from God’s saving presence.” (Romans 3:23 TEV)

And, “Away from me, you that are under God’s curse!
Away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for 
the Devil and his angels!” (Matthew 25:41 TEV)

 

“For sin pays its wage – death;
but God’s free gift is eternal life
 in union with Christ Jesus our
 Lord.” (Romans 6:23 GNT) 

Did you catch that?  God himself
has paid the penalty for our sins,
if we will but turn to him, accept
it, and live with him.

We cannot save ourselves from dying and going to 
the devils hell. God clearly tells us that when we are
saved; “It was not because of any good deeds that
we ourselves had done, but because of his own mercy
that he saved us, through the Holy Spirit, who gives
us new birth and new life by washing us.”
(Titus 3:5 GNT)

“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God

raise him from death, you will be save.  For it is by our

faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession

that we are saved.” (Romans 10:9,10 TEV)
